Pistol 1:
This course is designed for newer shooters and/or shooters who wish to sharpen their fundamentals. Whether you are brand new to the shooter world or you've owned a pistol for years now, the fundamentals are the most important piece of remaing consistant, proficient and above all SAFE while using a firearm. They are tools, not toys, therefore we must train and treat them as such.
Location: 17 South Rod & Gun Club
Date: Saturday April 12, 2025
Time: Registration will begin at 0830 and course instruction starts at 0900
Equipment:
- Pistol:
Sub compact or full size is ideal for round count and reps with drills, but if all you have is a compact frame....bring it! We are here to teach all.
- Magazines:
At least 2 magazines for reloads/malfunctions.
- Holster: With at least a level 2 retention
- Ear and Eye Protection: ANSI rated sunglasses and prescription glasses are ok. Electronic ear protection is prefered for instructional purposes.
- Belt: to secure holster/mag pouches.
- 400 rounds of pistol caliber ammo (LIVE)
- Course will be held rain or shine so bring all weather appropriate clothing.
- If you need/want snacks for the day feel free to bring them along with a water source for the day.
- We will have a BBQ for burgers and hot dogs for lunch. If you have an allergy or want something else, feel free to bring your own lunch. The BBQ lunch is included with course tuition.
